January 9, 2008 - The officers of D.C.F.D. met with Mike and Chris Kosydar of American Fire Services to finalize specs for our 2008 Crimson Aerial Ladder Truck.  Every detail of the vehicle was reviewed and finalized for construction.  According to the Crimson dealers, the cab and chassis is in production, scheduled to be complete in late March.  Construction of the aerial ladder portion is scheduled to begin by the end of January.  Since this vehicle is being custom built, any issues that arise will be reviewed by the officers during the production phase.  Crimson expects to have the vehicle complete in June.  Stay tuned for updates.
