About Us
Eagle Hose Company
#1 was incorporated on August 27, 1892. Today, the company
is one of the most recognized departments in the area.
We will responded
mutual aid to neighboring companies of Throop, Olyphant,
Blakeley, Dunmore, Jessup, Peckville, South Abington Twp,
and Clarks Summit. We also respond to assist Moosic, Old
Forge, and Taylor of "Lower Lackawanna County".
The department
currently has an active membership comprised of 60 members
under the direction of Fire Chief Joseph Chowanec. 10 of
which are Firefighter I and 10 which are Firefighter II. Our
meetings are held on the first and third Monday's of the
month at the firehouse. We also have a Junior Fire
Department Program open to individuals ages 15 - 17. The
administrative body is led by President Thomas Homenchak.

Coverage
The Borough of Dickson City is
located in Northeastern Pennsylvania approximately 2 hours
to our State Capital (Harrisburg), the City of Philadelphia
as well as New York City.
Dickson City is
bordered by the City of Scranton, the townships of South
Abington and Scott, as well as the Boroughs of Blakely,
Throop and Olyphant.
Our community is
approximately 5.2 square miles with a population of just
over 6600 residents. During commercial retail hours the
population more than doubles.
Today Dickson City is one of the fastest
growing commercial areas in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
